As a tourism operator we feel that it is our responsibility to take ownership of the way we operate and ensure that we are reducing and minimizing harm to the environment where ever possible in our daily operations. We are dedicated to achieving a more efficient approach to our operation to become the best we can be.
We have began with small steps which eventually lead to us partnering with Toitu in 2018. We initially partnered with Toitu with the intention to measure our carbon footprint and put in place strategies to reduce our carbon emissions. During our measurement period, we decided why not go all the way and commit to carbonzero – the rest was history!
Fast forward to 30th September 2019: INFLITE is a Toitu carbonzero certified organisation. We have put in place a management plan to reduce emissions by 2022 through initiatives such as:

As part of the process, we had to measure emissions across all our locations nationwide and put in place mitigation strategies to reduce and offset emissions. The first step was acknowledging that flights and experiences have a considerable impact on carbon emission through the use of aviation fuels.

Enabling people to look after the coastlines and waterways they love, INFLITE are proud to support the work of Sustainable Coastlines by actively participating in coastline cleanups. When INFLITE was based at Mechanics Bay, we ensured our coastline was kept clean and free of pests.
The Abel Tasman Tree Collective aims to pioneer a culture of philanthropy from the park’s international guests, directly funding the planning, eco-sourcing, propagation, planting and maintenance of native tree restorations in local protected areas.
The trust’s vision is restore the natural and cultural landscapes of Motutapu. The natural landscape similar to that which existed on Motutapu before the Rangitoto eruption around 600 years ago.
The Department of Conservation is the public service department of New Zealand charged with the conservation of New Zealand’s natural and historical heritage. Mount Cook Ski Planes and Helicopters assist DoC with hut and track maintenance.
The Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail is New Zealand in all its colour and beauty – from our highest mountains, past great lakes and rivers, and down to the ocean. Mount Cook Ski Planes and Helicopters are an official trial guardian, responsible for maintaining the section of the trial that passes by our doorstep at Aoraki/Mt Cook Airport.
