A New Zealand aviation tourism business built across some of the country’s most iconic destinations is now looking to take its next step on a larger Australasian stage.

INFLITE Group has announced it has entered into a non-binding term sheet with ASX – listed Experience Co Limited (ASX: EXP) regarding a proposed combination of Experience Co’s aviation and skydiving businesses with INFLITE’s existing operations.

If completed, the transaction would mark a significant milestone in INFLITE’s growth journey creating a significant aviation tourism business spanning Australia and New Zealand.

INFLITE Chief Executive Officer Adam Joyce said the proposal reflects confidence in both the future of tourism and the strength of Australasian tourism sector.

The proposed combination would bring together aviation tourism businesses across both countries, creating a stronger foundation for future growth, investment, and innovation. While the transaction remains subject to a number of conditions including approval by Experience Co’s shareholders, the strategic rationale is clear: bringing together businesses with aligned goals and a shared commitment to delivering worldclass visitor experiences.

For Joyce, the announcement also speaks to something bigger than a single transaction. “This announcement is really about potential. It’s about what can happen when two businesses with shared values and complementary strengths look to build something bigger together.

The proposal follows a period of continued recovery across the tourism sector and reflects confidence in the long-term appeal of New Zealand and Australia as two of the world’s most compelling visitor destinations.

INFLITE currently operates across several of New Zealand’s most iconic tourism regions, offering scenic flights, helicopters, ski planes, charters and skydiving experiences supported by a long-standing operational track record. The proposed transaction would bring together complementary destinations, tourism brands and aviation expertise from both sides of the Tasman.

The proposed combined group would have meaningful scale across Australasia, including:

• 18 operating locations;
• 45 aircraft;
• an expanded offering of aviation tourism experiences; and
• a team of more than 400 people.

While there are still important steps ahead, including due diligence and approvals, Joyce said the potential opportunity is compelling.

“There’s still work to do and important steps ahead, with the transaction remaining subject to several conditions but we’re excited about what this could mean for our people, our customers, and the combined business.”
